Arsene Wenger has said on Arsecom following our last minute decider at Hull on Saturday
“Manchester United used to score late, yes,” he said. “I believe that this season nobody has scored more than Arsenal in the last 15 minutes. Maybe it is down to a technical superiority and a never-give-up attitude. That is what I like in my team. When I see them on the pitch, I know they will not give up.”
Now excuse me for being a little at odds with that thesis Arsene…

by CARL ELDRIDGE Real news is thin on the ground this morning when it comes to the Arsenal but there are one or two heart-warming stories in the papers. Check out the picture of the Phil Brown commemorative sacking dolls, BTW.
Those clever chaps at Hull City have, in their ultimate wisdom, decided that enough is enough and parted company with Supteran, er, sorry Phil Brown. That prompts the question: how many wry smiles must there be out there in Goonerland afte…
by JAMES CURTIS – Mid-way through the first half on Saturday, the home fans began to proudly bellow “WE SUPPORT OUR LOCAL TEAM”. Problem there is, that like many teams lingering in the murky depths of the Premier League, Hull being one, they don’t really seem to care or support the fans in equal measure. George Boeteng’s crazy first half performance of thuggery and mindless eye gouging let his team and the home fans down, as Nicklas Bendtner capitalised on some dism…
Far, far too close for comfort on Saturday at the KC Stadium. The most impressive thing was that we kept going and found a way to win.
As it happens it would still have been close but not that close if the assistant referee had managed to spot that the Hull City player was at least a metre offside before Sol Campbell’s clumsy challenge resulted in a penalty. Phil Brown fulminated afterwards that Campbell should have gone, if not for that "last man" challenge,…
by CARL ELDRIDGE Is there a granny walking around Hull with the face of a young man? I only ask because Jimmy Bullard looks like he has had a blue-rinsed OAP's face transplanted on to his bonce. Very weird looking man. Overrated too. Anyway, enough about Granny Face, let's concentrate on the Arsenal, and in this morning's papers Nicklas Bendtner is quoted at length after snatching our hugely deserved late winner against Hull in the 2-1 Premier League win on Sat…
by KESTER WISEMAN When George Boateng walked off the pitch to a standing ovation from sections of the Hull City fans you would be forgiven for thinking the Dutch midfielder had just lead his side to a famous victory over Arsenal. Instead the former Middlesbrough player was heading for an early shower after first sticking his finger in the eye of Nicklas Bendtner and then his studs in the upper leg of Bacary Sagna. Either incident was punishable by a straig…
by CARL ELDRIDGE Hell's teeth, I forgot how bleedin' far Hull is...fair play to Christoff (AKA Terry Scott's Lovechild, see pic) for driving. Now then what a joyous task it is to thumb through the papers this morning after the glorious Gunners stuck it up poor, little, brave, battling Hull. How very unfair it was of Super Nik to edge the Tigers close to extinction with his dramatic late winner. Yeah right.
The Mail reports that Bendtner completed h…
Arsenal's title hopes were almost derailed at the KC Stadium but Nicklas Bendtner grabbed a last-gasp winner to secure a 2-1 win against 10-man Hull.
The Gunners took the lead in the 14th minute when Russian forward Andrey Arshavin slotted home after he was let in by Bernard Mendy.
But the hosts managed to get back on level terms when Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink was brought down in the box by Sol Campbell
The veteran centre-back was shown the yellow card as Jimmy …Page 1 of 40
