Ftk Blog: It does what it says on the tin

I am very protective of my contributors and I think that it would be a shame to have to reduce the quality of our Back Page Round Up. I’ll not beat about the bush, I nicked this idea from Arseblog. Yep so SUE ME…lol I decided that Gooners would like a summary of daily Arsenal related news courtesy of the tabloids delivered first thing in the morning. The idea was that the subsequent midday blog would follow up the most pertinent stories and enable further comment.
I have to say that Eldo71 does a bloody good job and it makes me a little bewildered that some readers still have not realised that a round up is making it easier for you as Arsenal fans to come to one place to hear the news of the day. Where we are different to the punters number one blog Arseblog, is that we do not have obscenities every 10th sentence and we provide additional content in the form of original blogs. So lay off Eldo71 I say, cos he does what it says on the tin…lol
The story that caught my eye from his round up today was the Sol Campbell to the Gunners. I think that this will happen, even though Eldo71 poured cold water on the story. Why? Well Senderos is out of favour with the club, and it is an open secret that le Boss wants rid of him. Recall my blog about doing a Senderos? I remember Le Boss telling the world that Senderos was the new Tony Adams. I got slated for disagreeing loudly!!! But that’s me, I’ll always give you my opinion even if you disagree. I think that Sol would be an excellent player to pass on the defensive strategies needed at the back.
Sol Campbell is a Gooner lala la la! Lala la la! Remember the song ? Well he still has the intellect, what he lacks for in speed, he can more than compensate with his positioning and heading ability especially at corners. I expect that if he does get offered a contract of 18 months should Senderos depart to Everton or where ever, then Sol’s 35 yr old legs will not be the concern of Le Boss, the most important aspect will be his influence upon our youth centre backs as I regard Sol as an excellent centre back and training with this player will make up for months of training.
So bring on the Sol I say, and good luck to him. I have very fond memories of Sol, not least the day that he appeared like a rabbit out of the hat at the London Colney training ground, when he had jumped the Yid ship… Oh happy days seeing the anger of the spuds! What better way to work them up than to play Sol at Shite Hart Lane as we knock them out of contention for fourth spot… Evil but nice! Sol Campbell is a GOONER Sol Campbell is a Gooner!
