Fabregas Out For At Least Six Weeks!

Following a scan this afternoon, Arsenal Football Club can confirm that Cesc Fabregas has suffered a small crack in his right fibula as a result of the collision with Barcelona defender Carles Puyol during Wednesday evening’s match.

As a consequence, Cesc will miss the remainder of the domestic campaign as he will be out of action for at least six weeks.

More to follow….

If only this was an April Fools joke !!

The media and everyone wrote us off when Van Perise got injured. What a blow to lose Fabregas for the last few games of the season.

    Never say never, lads.

He had nursed quite well until his mate knackered him.

The way Cesc fell on his knee was where the damage was done, the full impact of him landing on it would have damaged even a completely ‘ fit ‘ leg.

He probably should have given the penalty to someone else though . . . hard to do at the time but he should have really. :-(

Nevermind, we’ll just have to rely on Nasri, Walcott, Rosicky and Diaby like never before !

People might think Cece was stupid playing on with a injury, but that boy showed great leadership & a love for our club & respect for his team mates. I wish Asharvin with all his great ability would play with more passion. Im looking forward to Jack comming back from Bolton & giving our Russian m8 a run for his money. Respect to Cesc I for one am glad he is our capitain

Commeth the hour .. commeth the man … now it’s time for Nasri to move to the middle alongside Diaby or Dennilson. Song is going to have to move back to play next to TV I think, poor Sol just isn’t up to it anymore. We will also miss Arshavin for a few weeks but maybe now it’s time for Walcott to step up to the plate too …. it’s a funny old game as they say but I think we now have some good depth in midfield. Let’s not forget Eboue has shown a few glimpses lately too so it really isn’t over yet!

Last time when we played a European game without Cesc,we ended up winning the match 5-0.
