by CARL ELDRIDGE What would happen if Arsene Wenger was given £150million by Alisher Usmanov if he took control of the Arsenal? Would AW turn his back on his methods and splash big bucks on Barcelona’s Lionel Messi if instructed to do so by the Usbek businessman?
 
Surely we can only dream of such riches, can’t we? Well, thanks to the fourth arsenalinsider.com podcast we bring you the chance to listen into how our blogger Fabregas The King imagines the scenario. Make sure you tune in…it is certainly worth a listen.
 
Also in the latest edition of our very own Arsenal show, which as you probably know by now is recorded in a studio before a live audience of regular attendees at the Arsenal, we reflect on the horrific defeat at Wigan and look forward to the forthcoming match at home to Manchester City at the Emirates on Saturday.
 
There are a number of former Arsenal players returning to the home of football, of course, and some will be more welcome than others I am guessing. We bring you news of how the historic anthem that used to greet Paddy Vieira (and will again on Saturday more than likely) almost never came to pass as another top song was almost adopted instead. As well as all this, we look at the chances of Robin van Persie starting against Roberto Mancini’s side and take a look at their strengths ahead of the crucial match.

    No offense bro.. but this is shit.

    I tried, but could barely listen to the first couple.

    It just plain sucks.

    Stick with the writing….Even that could be improved slightly.

    But in general you do maintain a good site and put in lots of effort it seems.

    It was alright until the guy doing Usmanov
    kept doing an annoying impression of Herr Flick from the series ‘Allo, Allo’. Usmanov doesn’t shout like a gestapo officer every other sentence with the style of speech of Achmed (Silence! I kill You). I cringed every time that guy spoke.

    Practice makes perfect I suppose and I’m sure constructive critcism here will help you improve.

    Interesting set of reactions to my first contribution. Technical difficulties with my microphone meant that the volume control leaves a little to be desired.
    the German character was NOT Usmanov, as he explained, He was bringing a MESSAGE from Usmanov.
    A CLUE…
    The german henchman spoke of Usmanov in the third person several times!!!
    I chose this as I cannot do a Russian accent.
    This was my attempt to entertain Insiders, and the very first podcast ever attempted by FTK.
    I shall learn from this experience, but I do think that some of the comments are overly harsh given the time and effort I put into the creation of the sketch.

    Pls remember that I am not a professional actor or a comic, this was an original attempt, in keeping with all of our original content on this site. I happen to feel that the best is yet to come, but the for the cretins dishing out only foul abuse, pls don’t bother reading my articles or listening to my podcasts in future ok?
