yep gourcuff isn’t proven in a big league just yet. although the teams at the top of the french league are getting stronger its still not as strong as the big 3 leagues. He wasn’t great at Milan and had to go back to France to find his form. Nothing wrong with that and he might turn out to be better than Cesc at Arsenal but currently he hasn’t proved it. But if Cesc leaves he may well be the best player to replace him but there is no basis to say he is better than Cesc at the moment.

However Wenger should offer Rosicky and Eduardo (replace Chamakh at Bordeaux) plus 10m – 15m for Gourcuff. I like Gourcuff but he’s NOT a replacement for Cesc. He’s not better than Cesc (please tell me that was a joke), he’s not even equal to Cesc. He’s a good creative player and has a fantastic partnership with Chamakh. But he’s too slow (both in pace and in decision-making) for the PL.

Also, if this blog must be invaded by spuds, can we have a better quality type of spud? Or do they exist?
