By VIC CRESCIT With so many disappointing performances this season in crucial games we can but hope for better tonight.
Spurs have got a taste for the Champions League and want more. Aside from bragging rights they’ll be desperate for three points and the first League double over us since who knows when.
Tonight we’ll find out if we really have got any steel or it’s all been just talk. We’ve been coming very good at excuses, no more so than Arsčne Wenger. Every time it goes nipples skyward it seems somebody or something else is to blame. The man is becoming like John Belushi with Carrie Fisher in this famous scene in The Blues Brothers:
Enough already Arsčne. Take some responsibility yourself mate. You’re paid enough. I’m sick of the bad grace, tantrums and constant excuses. You’re making yourself and us look like plums.
Let’s have a performance with some passion and pride tonight, both from travelling Gooners in the stand and the team on the park. Let’s cut out the pub team defending too.
On another note, the Football Supporters’ Federation has teamed up with Virgin Money to do a short survey of supporter opinion on ticket prices and attitudes to swearing in grounds. It’ll only take you a few minutes to complete:
Get your point of view on the record. Make sure your football supporting mates do too.
Likewise don’t forget to add your name to the FSF’s petition in favour of the choice to sit or stand in safety:
Keep the faith!
