Arsenal have lost touch with reality on and off the pitch

Yet another completely unacceptable performance yesterday afternoon in the Potteries. You’d have thought we were the team playing in its first-ever FA Cup Final in club history next Saturday not Stoke City, not us. They thoroughly deserved their win.
As things stand we now have to take four points from our last two games to secure a third place finish and no qualifying for the Champions League next season (not to mention £800,000 extra Premier League prize money). On current form I wouldn’t bank on it. It appears to me as an outsider that there’s something seriously wrong in our dressing room at the moment. Yesterday’s performance showed zero heart or commitment to the cause. Too many of the players looked like they couldn’t care less and would rather have been on the beach.
That’s completely, utterly unacceptable. Two documents dropped through my postbox on Saturday. The formal legal offer document from Stan Kroenke to buy my share – no thanks – and my Gold season ticket renewal. It hasn’t gone up 6.5%. It’s gone up over 7.1%. A mere £1,955. Presumably because the club wants me to stump up an extra £130 to renew, the form came in a fancy package with a letter full of warm words from Arsčne Wenger. Wenger probably never wrote it nor has even seen it.
I’m not impressed with this sort of glitz. By all means, all communications from the club should be professionally presented and clearly written but the gold cardboard was an unnecessary expense I’d rather was spent on something I actually care about. Does the club really think I’m going to feel any better about being ripped off because the demand for more money comes in a fancy package? As ever we’re treated as mushrooms, kept in the dark and fed a lot of bullshit.
I’m sick and tired of it.
