Time right to flog Fabregas from Arsenal to Barca

Arsene Wenger has rebuffed Barcelona’s bid of £31million to take Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona, reports claim this morning. Surely a matter of time though, eh? The Mirror claims that while Arsene Wenger, Ivan Gazidis and the Emirates board are keen to begin their summer rebuilding programme in the next few days, the club will not be forced into selling Fabregas. Well, they should do if the wonga is right.
The paper says Barcelona vice president Josep Maria Bartomeu flew in to meet chief executive Gazidis and presented the Nou Camp side’s first offer. But unless Barca offer at least £45m, AW will not agree to let Fabregas return to the boyhood club he left eight years ago.
Meanwhile, the Mail says Arsenal rejected a £27million bid from Barcelona for the skipper, despite offering £35.5m last summer. The Guardian quotes Barca president Sandro Rosell: “Guardiola knows the values of players and Cesc’s is less than €40m (£35.4m). Barcelona will offer less and, if they don’t accept, then he won’t come.”
Me? I’d get shot of him now because it is clear his heart is not in it and he wants to leave. He’ll be a miserable sod (remember TH’s last season with us) and he is injured half the time anyway. Plus we won’t have to be annually cuckolded by the Catalan twots. Fair play, thanks for everything, let’s get some decent dosh and move on. What do you reckon?
