Thiago To Be Thrown Into Cesc Deal?

FC Barcelona vice president Josep Maria Bartomeu is in London this week, in an attempt to lure Cesc Fabregas back to the Catalan capital in a £33.5m transfer.

It appears that Barca will not step up their current bid, and aren’t going to satisfy Arsenal, by meeting the Gunners’ asking price.

The Arsenal skipper, who wants to move back to Barcelona this summer, has been valued at £40m by club officials.

After multiple bids being turned down by Arsenal for Cesc, the latest reports are suggesting that Barca are unwilling to pay as high as £40m for Fabregas.

Apparently, Arsenal are willing to settle for a lower fee – but only, as long as 20-year old midfielder, Thiago Alcantara is thrown into the deal.

The Spanish U21 international who was sensational last month in Denmark, as his country won the European Under-21 Championship, has been linked with The Gunners all summer.

However, after his Under-21 heroics in Denmark, Barca handed Thiago a 4-year contract last month, and now looks set to be a big part of Pep Guardiola’s plans for next season’s campaign.

Thiago had limited game time at the Camp Nou last year, and despite his new lucrative deal, he would prefer to play regular football next year… surely?

Cesc Fabregas is also under contract, but it appears likely that he will leave Arsenal this summer.

Another day goes by, and the story continues…

    if your bored of this saga, just stop reading about it. it will get sorted one way or another. patience is a virtue. i like thiago fingers crossed. my dream summer would be lakuka, jags, parker, and a one more creative types, ie thiago, mata, hazad etc. but i trust ramsey and wilshire, would like naris to stay but if he wants to leave utd are the ones i would hate to see him at the most.

    cool, this is my first arguement online. if you want to split hairs then there was an offer last year too. plus formal offers are one thing, you would imagine there have been many offers made and counter offers made. you ever done a business deal. the guy wrote there has been mulitple offers. i agree with the sentiment of that. barca president even made an offer in a speach. they know the price end of. you justr seem like an angry man. why don’t you write a blog and put some effort into life rather than splitting hairs over something that maywell be factually correct but in the light of things even an idiot like you must know there has been many discussions and offers made. the public one is for show. its so low it was only for negotiating reasons. fuck off and stop slagging people off over such a tiny thing. you must be insurcure.

    OK! I personally do not like to hear rumours that can affect and dampen the fans. Hope that you can write something that is more encouraging in the future.

    Arsenal has been a target for arm chair critics who obtained all their information from the internet and they repeated every all those craps day in day out. Seems like nothing to write about.

    to be a gunner is to have to something to talk about, any one who thinks this whole thing is making them go so bored and angry at the same time at the board of directors at arsenal then i guess they would like to be arsenal manager believe me no one will dare cos the seats that that are empty in AFC are hot ones and i would not like to be in the shoes of those that are there now so stop the critics and be a true gunner fan…………….
