Arsenal Agree Terms With Joel Campbell

Arsenal have agreed terms with Deportivo Saprissa, to sign Costa Rican striker Joel Campbell.

The deal for the 19-year old, is reported to be worth around £930,000, but will rise to around £1m, if bonuses are met.

Arsene Wenger has already praised the teenager, stating that Campbell is a very talented youngster.

“Joel Campbell has already shown that he is a player with great ability, and has also performed well on the international stage at a young age. We look forward to the formalities of the transfer being completed and working with Joel when he joins us at Arsenal.”

Arsenal travelled to Newcastle today, and are ready to play in tomorrow’s game at St. James’ Park.

The Premier League returns. Rejoice while you can…

I'm 20 and have been an Arsenal season ticket holder since 2006. My family has had Arsenal links since the 1920's, and the support is still going strong. I am at every home game, and also manage to get to multiple away games, when I can.

I have been writing for various blogs and websites since I was 15, but have now settled down and have become a regular writer for Arsenalinsider. I also run my own Pro Evolution Soccer blog, Only Pro Evolutions.

Arsenal is my passion. Writing is my passion. I was never good enough to play for The Arsenal, so I'll do the next best thing!

This season could be a record for us in terms of number of players signed.  The defender will still come, and then replacements for Cesc/Nasri – that’s going to be a long-list of arrivals.

There aren’t that many. Gervinho – 10m, jenkinson 1m, chamberlain – 12m, campbell – 1m. total of about £25m and only one proven player for the present. These are reported fees and I think they tend to be exaggerated rather than under estimated. All arsenal transfers are undisclosed fees.
