Arsenal’s Van Persie gunning to score against Liverpool

Arsenal take on Liverpool at the Emirates on Saturday at 12.45pm on the back of an unconvincing 1-0 victory against Udinese in their Champions League first leg qualifying match, with injuries to key defenders and  mounting pressure on Arsene Wenger.

Despite this, Unibet still make the Gunners favourites to beat the Reds on Saturday – a game that is LIVE on Sky Sports.

Unibet go 7/5 on Arsenal, while Liverpool are 19/10 with the draw an industry best price of 9/4.

This best industry odds price on the draw may prove popular as both of last year’s league encounters ended 1-1, as have three of the last four North London league matches. Furthermore, nine of the last 23 games at Highbury/Emirates have also been a stalemate.

But the Arsenal faithful will point to a 3-0 win five years ago and a 2-1 victory the year before that.

Unibet make the 1-1 6.25, while the 3-0 Arsenal victory is priced up at 24.00.

One popular bet with Unibet on Saturday may well be on either or both teams to score a penalty. Both of last year’s goals at the Emirates were penalties and you can bet on Liverpool scoring a penalty at 10.00 or Arsenal scoring a penalty at 8.00.

Those who like a bet on who will score the first goal may be tempted on Unibet’s odds on Robin van Persie at 5.5, while Theo Walcott is 9.0 to add to the goal he got in midweek.

Don’t forget there are thousands of odds available on dozens of markets in Arsenal v Liverpool game – and thanks to your Arsenalinsider if you open an account now Unibet will give you a risk free first bet up to £20!

Do you think anyone would any longer buy a club to lose money?

He won’t resign, he will see out his contract and then maybe both sides will agree not to renew

No, no, he’s there for life because you are mistaken if you think the board will sack him over lack of trophies. When will you understand that this is primarily a business and while the figures are looking good AW will always be their blue eyed boy. The board have a completely different agenda to us and our bleating falls on deaf ears.

He will only go when he wants to go and that may be to go on the board, which will be bad news because his influence will prevail.
