Arsene Wenger is said to be mulling over a move for Everton midfielder Mikel Arteta as a replacement replacement for Cesc Fabregas, reports suggest this morning.
While you’re at it, Arsene, snap up Phil Jagielka and Marianne Fellaini from the Toffees as well. But, seriously, I have been saying this for weeks: He. Won’t. Sign. Anyone. Ever. Again.
Meanwhile, the Mail claims AW remained defiant after Arsenal’s 2-0 home defeat by Liverpool as “he faced up to the most challenging week in his 15-year reign at the club”. The paper says we are likely to sell Samir Nasri, who played at the Emirates, to Manchester City for £22million but have made a £15m bid for Rennes midfielder Yann M’Vila.
The Mirror quotes him as saying: “There is no chance of me walking away. I won’t quit and I have never considered quitting. My only interest is to work harder to make the right decisions for the club.
“People have to trust me. Unfortunately we are living in circumstances where every defeat is an absolute disgrace and an earthquake. I always feel under pressure, but I don’t feel under pressure any more than I normally do.”
