Walcott can upset the odds for Arsenal at United

Arsenal’s chances of beating Manchester United  at Old Trafford are put into some sort of context by investigating the odds the bookmakers are offering.

Unibet, Arsenalinsider’s betting partners, make Arsenal a huge 7.0 (6/1) to gain what would be only the Gunners’ fifth victory in Manchester in the last 23 Premier League encounters at Old Trafford.

That 7.0 (6/1) is the biggest priceArsenal have been to beat United in the last 24 meetings in all competitions dating back to 2004/2005 season.

With Arsenal’s injury worries, Unibet feel that Man Utd should make home advantage count and make Sir Alex Ferguson’s men 1.5 (1/2) to win the game with the draw available at 4.0(3/1).

Two of the last four games between these two at Old Trafford have ended in 2-1 United victories, which is 8.25 (29/4) with Unibet, while a 0-1 Arsenal victory – as happened five seasons ago – is available at 16 (15/1).

For me though, I reckon the bet should be that both teams will score – a 1.8 (4/5) chance with Unibet, while a bet on Theo Walcott to score at anytime at 5.0 (4/1) is also suggested.

And don’t forget there are thousands of odds available on dozens of markets on the Man Utd v Arsenal game – and thanks to your Arsenalinsider if you open an account now Unibet will give you a risk free first bet up to £20!

That’s right- just open a Unibet account by following this link, open an account bet up to £20 and if that first bet is a losing one, Unibet will give you your money back!

Wow! Due to suspensions, injuries and general lack of reinforcing, Im not liking our chances this weekend.. The squad is paper thin right now. Think back to the 1-nil loss at OT last season, Is our current squad any better at this point of time?

I dont really care about the result, the squad will improve as the season goes on but lets hope to see a good spirited display and some hardwork, Then it will be a good game.
    I predict 2-1 to Man U :(

We all Know we are going to get pumelled based on every indicator whether it’s our respective preseasons, players bought, our record at Old Trafford, injuries and so on. And now man Us youngsters are as young as ours so Wenger doesnt have “it’s a young team” as the excuse every year.

The real question is the long slow series of decisions or lack of decisions that has brought us here in a long decline over the last three seasons. The failure to fix problems like defenders and goalkeepers we could all see. It’s a tragedy. The final insult is buying one good player this summer.

And finally, will this defeat prolong the continuation of our relegation form from last season? Will a pummeling send us into the funk that losing 5.0 at man U in 2008 FA cup round did? I think it will. And Wenger will be gone at Christmas.

      That’s what I like, optimism!

How can anybody with such a negative outlook get through the day?

According to DD in LA we’ve already been “pummeled” and defeated, yet the game doesn’t kick off for another forty eight hours.

      God give me strength!

It sure feels like we will get beat, according to all punters, but if we are realistic it is a good possibility.
Yet football is football and anything can happen as long as Manu dont get their ref.
Which brings me to why ManU seem to always get their own ref, are the others not good (bad)enough to referee a manu game?
Come on AFC, with your new team spirit let’s give them the hardest game of their life, and the fans in the stadium to, although outnumbered, make some NOISE.

See further embarrassing Spat with Bolton over Cahill in Telegraph is there no other manager I’m the EPL anyone wants to report on? Wenger looks like a parody of himself and his behavior since last season ha made him re class clown for reporters. He has done this to himself. If he can’t hackthe pressure anymore then step asid.

Chances if us signing a class defender by Wednesday? Zero.

We have left it so late the prices go up teams know we are desperate. More ineptitude from the Arsenal bureaucrats.

Obviously DD in LA is way behind the times, that article, in The Telegraph, was written before 2200 hrs on Thursday, oh! sorry, that’s 10 pm for Americans.  Since then Wenger has refuted the report and denied that the price he bid was even close to £6 million.

As Wenger said, Arsenal never reveal the offers made or negotiate in public.

Yes but others do John via twitter and god knows what as here. It’s another ginormous gaffe and everyone knows it. I don’t recall any dirty laundry of this Ilk from Man U or Chelsea this season. Classic Wenger balls.
