Traore Poised For QPR Switch

Armand Traore is set to leave Arsenal, after it was revealed that the left back is set for a move to Queens Park Rangers.

The French-born Senegalese defender, who can also play as a winger, will have talks and a medical at QPR today, in the wake of yesterday’s loss at Old Trafford.

The left back made just 13 senior appearances for The Gunners, in a career that saw him go out on loan to Portsmouth and Juventus.

With just 3 days to go until the end of the summer transfer window, Arsene Wenger has yet to confirm whether a new left back will be signed.

    Fuck. Worse and worse news. Maybe he’s not good enough (I would not say a word until a defensive coach arrives), but better than nothing. Gibbs injured so we have no left backs. Even QPR became more attractive than Arsenal. What the fuck is going on? Last season we were challenging for the title and all the cups at least until the Carling Cup final. Now the “whole building” is collapsing on our heads. Do these animals just sell up the club before rolling down the shutter? I’m really scared about a possible relegation. The few quality players will surely leave soon, if it goes on like that. Wenger has to leave after the transfer window shuts. Only a credible new manager can turn back the tide.  With these players only an extraordinary manager can achieve something.

    Had to happen eventually, he was one of the deadwood we have been clamouring for to leave.

    He can only be thinking of bringing in another left back or switching Vermaelen to left back. If he is thinking like that he must be bringing in 2 centre backs. I dont mind if both are better than Vermaelen, but there are not many out there. That said there are even fewer left backs better than Vermaelen. Cole, Evra then that is it. Baines, Enrique, Cissokho and Gibbs are all much of a muchness, but one of those it at the club already, one has just moved to Liverpool and another is cup tied in the Champpions League. So its either Baines or stick with what you have and improve Centre Back.

    expect baines or someone else to be announced really soon…
    unless wenger plans to sign cahill and move vermaelen to left back!!
