Mikel Arteta has joined Arsenal

Mikel Arteta has joined Arsenal we understand on a 4 year deal.

Negotiations to sign Arteta from Everton were fraught, and appeared to have collapsed entirely at one point, but the Spaniard arrives at Emirates Stadium as a replacement forCesc Fabregas in the heart of the Arsenal midfield.

The deal was pushed through after Arteta, 29, informed Everton that he wanted to end his six-year stay at Goodison and sign a four-year deal in North London…. More details to follow shortly

what a few days arteta is the icing on the cake, the passer we craved, we got two defenders an attacker and two midfielders, Arsene take a bow son, at least uv put the effort in tryin to fix the problems, and if it dosent work at least no1 can say it was cos u didn buy any 1 and buy well which u did, and also got rid of bentdner

Seems like we missed out on the “BiG Players”.  Is that the result of Nasri’s bitching I wonder?

Well we have what we get, lets see how fast they jell as a team!

I’m happy we got arteta, With so little time of transfer window, landing a nice deal like arteta to replace fabregas  is not easy. I honestly see that arteta is really talented, not because he’s gunners, but he was really  good, if he switched to the bigger club sooner, he would be in Spain international now. However, he’s 29, it’s good for now but we desperately need Eden for the future. Gervinho can completely replace Nasri, he’s not creative and good technique like Nasri, but same dribbling level, Much faster and team work really well. nasri just shine for one season when Fabregas is not good bc of barcelona return all over his head last season, still, thanks to nasri and wilshere though, but he’s not superstar like he thinks, he’s a moron. Like Adebayor, those players will never reach the top. unlucky for us, 2-8 against MU indirectly push Eden far away. Hope for the future signing of him though, but now, Yesssssss for Arteta and of course benayoun, with jack Wilshere, Gervinho, Song, vermaelens, sagna back, we can be good. I hope to see Alex Oxlade and Ryo shine this season, they looks very potential.

I’m really happy that Arsene made it. Also many of the dead wood left at least on loan. The icing on the cake is that the spuds supporters were extremely frustrated according to the Daily Mail. We sold and bought they rather just sold and got weaker.

Very good business. For left back I don’t know why he did not sign Jose Enrique a bargain for 6 mill pounds when he had the chance. Anyway no one can fault Wenger now for not trying. As far as midfield is concerned Arteta is a really good signing and Yosi adds strength to our bench. Only 1 more signing needed a defensive coach.

Fuck we could not get rid of Almunia and Squillaci I guess. They are still on our rolls.

        ..and the 3rd midfielder!

Are we now that confident that we’ll go onto the pitch with 9 men and take on all-comers?

Arteta is a Barca DNA atleast he wont go anywhere at 29! Ramsey, Wilshere and Toral now have a decent role model to look up to, in January maybe quality signing might come through~ for now lets us be the 12th player! in depth bench is what we need~ reincarnation of the ‘Invicibles’ starts now!

he is an excellent addition to the mid-field.. will certainly give better mobility to ramsey.. we should have still gone for cahill.. btw.. the people negotiating the deals for arsenal are still crap.. two weeks break will see much rejuvenated arsenal fightback.. C’mon Arsenal!!

It seems with 1 year left on Cahill contract, Bolton want more than 12m which is what was offered by us and the Spuds. So perhaps in Jan or next summer we can get him for free. Mertzaker is great for set pieces but I worry about his lack of pace.

I think Arsene wanted M’Villa and Hazard in preference to Benayoun, but as we got him on loan I suspect he will go for these two gems in January or next summer.

errm does anyone know if arteta is fit? We all know about his injury record in the past 2 seasons and considering he wasn’t even in London when we signed him, he didn’t have a medical.

So we’ve bought an injury prone player who hasn’t had a medical. add to that the number of injuries arsenal get, sorry but I can’t see him staying fit for more than a month at a time.
