Ramsey is after a Arsenal ‘fresh start’

Aaron Ramsey feels Arsenal can make a “fresh start” to their Barclays Premier League campaign with victory over new-boys Swansea at Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

The Gunners have suffered a nightmare opening to the domestic campaign, which followed the sale of key men Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri - with Arsene Wenger’s squad left reeling from their 8-2 humiliation by Manchester United at Old Trafford before the international break.

However, with the new signings of South Korea captain Park Chu-young, Mikel Arteta, defensive duo Per Mertesackerand Andre Santos as well as a season-long loan move for Yossi Benayoun, Ramsey maintains there are plenty of reasons to be positive, and said: “We want to put things right after our last result.”

He added: “Hopefully we put in a really good performance and get back to winning ways.

“We have had a good think about things and it will be a fresh start now.”

Ramsey told reporters: “We have brought in some quality players, Arteta and Benayoun are two creative midfielders who are really comfortable on the ball and they will be great additions to the squad.”

Swansea were thumped 4-0 at Manchester City in their first game in the English top flight – and have yet to score a league goal despite battling to draws with Wigan and Sunderland.

Ramsey, however, is not expecting the Welsh team to simply lie down at Emirates Stadium.

“I saw last season, when I played against Swansea for Cardiff, that they are a good footballing team and like to pass the ball,” said the former Bluebirds youngster, who spent a short loan spell back at his old club in January.

“It will be a good footballing game but hopefully we come out on top and get all three points.”

I think Ramsey is echoing all our hopes that Arsenal can re-start the season against Swansea.

Let’s not take it for granted that three points await merely for turning up.

Saturday is when the whole club, that’s players and supporters can show what Arsenal are all about.

A fully commited performence on the pitch matched by a vociferous atmosphere in the stands.

It’s time to give the nay-sayers both inside and outside the club the finger.

Park Chu Young will be the surprise of the season. A quality player and if he plays in his best position through the middle then he will score goals.

Personally I would start him through the middle and play RvP wide right but let him roam.

I dont believe there’s much trueGoon supporters as exited as I am about our latest additions/prodigy’s over the past summer(winter at the time in my country i may say), but we’ve just…just… narro-just completed a complete team full of future superstars and gamebreakers at the Emirates. Now, seeing RVP, Gervinho and Park Ju going blood-out like an Italian shooting spree, I cant help but to think to myself… Walcott, Ryo and the Ox gonna come on at second half and all I can do is sigh…hmmmmfff, and they talk about United’s youngsters coming around. What they dont know coming round the corner is a RED AND WHITE battle ship not to be reckoned with.
What we have witnessed is a simple case of salute!! Nasri have made way for the Magical Gervinho, Clichy ditched and we’re suddenly 10 times better off with our Samba attacking fullback_SANTOS, El Capitano(will be remebered) left and made way for our own soon to be ‘legends of the Creek’ – Wilshere and Rambo( truth be known that Wenger simply tried to keep Fab because,as scheduled, injuries hit these two which wasn’t part of his overall plan, but what no one knows is that this season they’ll become MEN), RVP gets his much needed striking partner in the ‘FIGHT TILL I DIE’ – PARK, and the big PER at our healm(so missed the days of the GREAT RED and WHITE WALL OF BRITAIN(hopefully Djourou can so so.. so regain his high he had at the beginning af last summer)
Arteta and Benyoun bring a vast amount of knowledge, experience and skills to this ground, already pledging their sweat for us, and I’m certain they will give our young guns that fighting spirit, that Victory Can Be Yours, than CONCOR ALL BEFORE YOU… that that that thing we so missed and enjoyed for so many seasons!! All round we have a team now that loves playing football for Arsenal and plays the game SO passionately, bringing joy back to the team I LOVE SO MUCH!!!
