Rambo is tipped to be Wenger’s new top Gun

Aaron Ramsey is good enough to fill the huge midfield gap at Arsenal left by the departures of Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri.

That’s the caoim in this morning’s Mirror from Swansea defender and Wales team-mate Neil Taylor, 22, ahead of our Premier League home game against the top flight new boys.

He said: “I’ll have to tell the lads how good Aaron is ahead of the game but his qualities will be a long list. He is a good player and has come back really well since his broken leg.

“Something like that can knock a player down but to comeback and captain your country says a lot about the lad and his character. I have seen him for years and he’s been like this since he was 14 or 15.

“That’s attracted Arsenal which is a great club for him. He could replace Nasri or Fabregas but I don’t think all that weight is going to be on his shoulders as they have brought in other players as well. But he should definitely be a starter there and if he keeps progressing like he is then he should cement his place.”

Elsewhere this morning and the Mail says we are keen on Argentina midfielder Lucas Biglia, 25, and that our scouts watched him play for Anderlecht. Biglia, who operates the anchor role, was part of Argentina’s Copa America squad, joined the Belgian giants in 2006.

Meanwhile the Sun reckons Gooners have turned up the heat on AW in a new survey. The findings of YouGov, a poll of 8,000 fans around the country, showed AW received less than 5/10 from his own supporters.

The poll shows fans quizzed think we will end up in fifth and miss out on Champions League football. The paper adds that the only good news for the boss was that one in 10 of the Arsenal faithful asked feel now is the right time to change manager.

Stick your poll where the sun don’t shine (T********)

      Why so hostile?

This is a young lad in opposition to Rambo that sees him play regularly and is offering a welcome piece of positive info. I’m actually pleased to hear he’s progressing so well.

Why are you so negative? Rambo is talented and I think eventually he will come through.
