Benayoun Ruled Out For “A Week Or So”

Yossi Benayoun has confirmed that he will be out for around a week, after picking up an injury in last night’s Carling Cup win against Shrewsbury Town.

The Israeli midfielder, currently on loan at Arsenal from London rivals Chelsea, scored his first Gunners goal in the side’s 3-1 win over the League 2 high-flyers.

Just one day after getting on the score sheet for Arsenal, using his Twitter account, Benayoun announced that he will be missing for around a week.

“Very disappointed as I have a strain and will be out for a week or so.”

I'm 20 and have been an Arsenal season ticket holder since 2006. My family has had Arsenal links since the 1920's, and the support is still going strong. I am at every home game, and also manage to get to multiple away games, when I can. I have been writing for various blogs and websites since I was 15, but have now settled down and have become a regular writer for Arsenalinsider. I also run my own Pro Evolution Soccer blog, Only Pro Evolutions. Arsenal is my passion. Writing is my passion. I was never good enough to play for The Arsenal, so I'll do the next best thing!

I somtimes think that when a prospective players is given the grand tour of Emirates they start at the `treatment room`. “Hi there. welcome to Arsenal, take a good look around because this is where you`ll be spending most of your time”.
