Here’s the team news for Sunday…Koscielny definitely not fit to start,  Squillaci not fit to start, that means Song at centre back with Meretesacker.

Walcott and Gervinho will face tests over the weekend, Walcott most likely of the pair to be fit.

    Benayoun is fit.

More bad news on the defence, Vermaelen will not be back untill two or three weeks after the International break.

Gooners it’s time to appeal to whichever god you worship!

I think that Video Blog sums you lot up perfectly, 7 minutes of total waffle by a fan that wouldn’t know who Brian Talbot was signed from, People like you Berg10 are very much in the minority these days at The Emirates, most are just plastic fans spouting nonsense..
Anyway hand on heart I have never been so confident but you have to consider the fact that this is historically a fixture I have dreaded in the past. But as long as we prevent silly fouls around the area and especially on the angle where RVP likes to bend them in at pace I don’t see you lot troubling us at all.
We have far too much in the key areas for Arsenal, we will run you ragged at the back from both flanks and I cannot see Modric being stopped now Nasri and Fabregas have gone, Gervinho looks quite tasty I must admit but I think based on what defending I have seen in the last 3 games , you will need to hope we miss sitter after sitter and you nick a 1 nil..cannot see that happening at all, Olympiakos were hitting crossbars and missing sitters, Shrewsbury went 1 up and your first 20 minutes in Germany was schoolboy defending…forgive me but you cannot keep, Modric, Bale, VDV, Adebayor, Defoe,Lennon and Walker all quiet..it simply won’t happen.
I am being honest and not just getting behind the boys, I would be seriously worried about Sagna’s form just recently because for me that is a key area against Bale and he has looked average at best which is not like him I do rate him as it happens..anyway see you on the other side !

Haha…the waffle is definitely coming from you matey! You really need to do your research before you spout your mouth off and make yourself look extremely silly by making assumptions! I’ve had a season ticket for 21 years, used to go to every away match, incl Europe (I understand your Eurpoean footie experience is extremely linited btw!), have studied an NCTJ in Sports Journalism and am a sports presenter.
Ps.Brian Talbot was signed from Ipswich in 1979!

      GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONERS!!!!!! #61neveragain

Bigsy, for the first time in a long while I think the general expectancy of an Arsenal victory is low but that could be the key. Look, I’m ever the optimist in adversity and have to look for the positives. True, we have been somewhat shambolic in the openers mainly down to unfamiliar faces rushed into games they wouldn’t normally have been selected for but for some key injuries but as each game passes I’d expect them to adapt and apply accordingly.

I am an admirer of Alex Song so his role at CB isn’t a worry for me, Sagna will be up for it, he knows the importance of this fixture and to be fair against the Greeks he may as well as have had Arshavin ahead of him for all the cover he was getting from Ox but he’ll learn also. The downside of Song at the back exposes us in the middle but Frimpong looks better and better and to be honest you mention Na$ri and Fabregas when for me both had under performed for some time and Arteta so far has been a breath of fresh air. Walcott must now realise Ox can steal his place and should also be well up for it and is due a performance a la Liverpool and we haven’t seen Ju Yung Park yet.

all very fair comments but Frimpong keeping Modric quiet is like when we were upbeat about Redknapp keeping Vieira quiet..Song will do a job but think it is a monumental ask to get someone to play in that role against the very best in the business, could do it at Everton or Wigan but not at WHL in a Derby match…anyway we know talk is cheap as even we have turned you over in the past with a weak side so anything can happen, I just hope the Arsenal I have seen all season turn up and not the one you believe is lurking.
