Wojciech Szczesny has refused to rule out following former captain Cesc Fabregas and switching from Arsenal to Barcelona.
But Szczesny admits any future move to the current European Champions would not be motivated by money.
The Metro this morning reports that the 21-year-old described the club as ‘his second home’ in an interview with the Polish media this week, but refused to rule out following a lengthy list of former Gunners’ stars in joining the Spanish giants.
He said: “I can’t declare that I will spend my entire career here, but if I leave I will have a very important reason or I will go to Barcelona. I can’t imagine a situation where I would leave this club just for money.”
Szczesny is currently receiving treatment on a back problem that has seen him ruled out of forthcoming friendlies against South Korea and Belarus, with results of a scan expected soon.
Elsewhere this morning, and Sao Paulo supporters have demanded on-loan Arsenal midfielder Denilson never plays for the club again, after he allegedly branded them “very, very annoying” on Twitter.
And reports suggest that Lille striker Moussa Sow, thought to be an Arsenal target, claims he is unsure where his future lies beyond the end of the current season, with contract negotiations seemingly at a standstill.
