Arsenal on Boxing Day down the Tube, Arsene

How’s your luck, eh? Pretty impressive at City and get nowt. Pretty ordinary at Villa and sneak a win. That’s football, though, right? At least we battled on last night and were trying for force the victory until the death. What is it AW says about spirit? Well, we’ve got plenty of it anyway.

So please for the Yossi Benayoun. Always admired him as a very tidy player, a player who you couldn’t really dislike. Perhaps he needs more opportunities. It was heartening to hear his name replace that of Nasri in the “na na na” song.

As for the issue of persistent standing…er, well where I was everyone persistently stood. The stewards didn’t once ask us to take our seats, although they were quite hot on standing in the aisles. Let’s face it, enforcing the rules laid down by Brum City Council is impossible. So, will we receive a reduced ticket allocation next season? Time will tell.

Lots of decent banter at the game and I couldn’t help but smile as the away support belted out: “We are the Arsenal, we’ll stand when we want!” Such rebellion! I do hope the bloke who had a fit at half-time recovers well and fair players to the stewards and police who attended him.

We looked jaded last night – AW admitted as much but the proof was in the eating of the pudding - and I wonder if the decision this morning to put back the Boxing Day game by 24 hours has been influenced by that? The industrial action on the tubes may or may not take place but it is a handy excuse to allow our troops an extra day’s rest isn’t it? Has AW pulled a fast one? And why not? Or is it just my conspiratorial mind?

So, we’ve got Boxing Day at home for a second year on the bounce then? Me? I shall now be at the Nye Camp for the biggest derby clash in world football: Bognor Regis Town v Worthing. Come on you Rocks!

Oh dear dear. The “shit” Chelsea team that we beat 5-3 in October AWAY managed to hold our apparent superior N London rivals at shit hart lane to a draw. My my, can’t wait for the excuses though I suspect the self proclaimed “large penis brigade” will be anonymous and rightly so.

And by all accounts, Chelsea battered them. And they needed a man city player to get them a point…

Ha Ha…what a crock of shit ! seasons greetings from Londons top club, yes that top club that wouldn’t be 3rd in October, wouldn’t be 3rd in November, Wouldn’t be 3rd in December and no doubt won’t be 3rd in May..dream on lads a slip up against Chelsea shows us how far we have come, a slip up against Fulham shows us why you mugs are nowhere near worrying Londons big 2 ..ta ta cheerio and god bless..If we had a decent striker instead of a goon trained tosser up front we would be 2nd of that I am convinced..keep kidding yourselves…keep relying on RVP and keep thinking you will make up the points..and as Alex Mcleish rightly says “cheats “

Nobhead. At least we are relying on a player who we own. You are relying on a football mercenary who played for your arch enemy who you dont own and cant afford his wages. Still laughing.

Can’t beat Fulham at Home, struggle against Villa, embarrassing twice against Olympiakos, 6 years without a trophy, top players falling over each other to leave each season, shitting themselves that Van Persie may do the same, moaning about lack of atmosphere, moaning about ticket prices, moaning about empty stadiums and cannot give the tickets away outside, can’t beat Spurs anymore when you play them and remain behind us in the league, in this really the Arsenal that were the greatest football team I have ever seen only 6 years ago ? wow that Wenger is bloody good at his job isn’t he ! now please explain in the last 6 years taking all of what you have plainly mentioned on here is the bit Wenger has done well then ? ha ha…you are like a bankrupt man selling the big issue reminiscing about the rolls royce you used to own.youn were swotted aside when Aaron Lennon equalised after you threw away a 2 goal lead, that was the defining moment that Arsenal were finished in Nth London and nothing in the last few years has made me think any different..Arteta on the cheap and a German who can’t run ..fucking top notch that innit ! from champions to laughing at a club above you who beat you for fun everytime we play each other now..clowns !.oh yeah ssorry forgot ..you are in the champions league aren’t you, im in the lottery tonight but fuck all chance of winning it !

we were shit last night, fair comment, as for Chelsea should have won not so sure they had their chances but so did we , Onside goal disallowed, Gallas missing a sitter, Terry somehow sliding on his aris and bum cheeking it around the post, lucky git !, deflected sandro shot..so pretty even to be fair on chances created….Cour case to me means little, I hate Redknapp as much as you lot so not a put down at all in my book..any way keep chasing !

          Correction….offside goal rightly ruled out.

Gallas missing a sitter…when has he ever been any good except as a sitter?

          Stats
          Shots on target 4   7
          Off target          5   11
          Fouls committed 15   8

The only stat Spuds are ahead on is fouls committed.  Certainly not “pretty even on chances”

Take off the rose tinted spectacles Bigsy,   The squad is falling to bits.  The only bright spot on the horizon is ‘Arry’s upcoming vacation at Her Majesty’s Pleasure.

Well summed up John. Every paper this morning saying that Chelsea are the more likely challengers for the league, so that tells me who bossed last nights game.

I watched a good bit of the game last night, to be honest the Spuds weren’t bad for the first twenty minutes, not bad but not really very good.  Once the pikey hurt his hamstring (again) they fell apart and were lucky to get away with a point.

A draw was probably the best result for us, we now have two realistic targets in sight, Chelsea and the Spuds.  Newcastle seem to have shot their bolt and L’pool are falling apart.

The future’s bright, the futures Red and White.
