“Henry set to agree two-month loan deal”

Arsenal are on the brink of re-signing Thierry Henry.

That’s according to Sky sources, who understand that the ex-Arsenal captain is on his way back to North London and is set to sign a 2-month loan deal with The Gunners. The deal is expected to be announced within the next 48 hours.

The 34-year old Frenchman, currently contracted to the New York Red Bulls, has been training with the Gunners since the MLS season ended and it seems that a return is looking more and more likely.

I'm 20 and have been an Arsenal season ticket holder since 2006. My family has had Arsenal links since the 1920's, and the support is still going strong. I am at every home game, and also manage to get to multiple away games, when I can.

I have been writing for various blogs and websites since I was 15, but have now settled down and have become a regular writer for Arsenalinsider. I also run my own Pro Evolution Soccer blog, Only Pro Evolutions.

Arsenal is my passion. Writing is my passion. I was never good enough to play for The Arsenal, so I'll do the next best thing!

Tough on Henry as every fan will be expecting magic everytime he touches the ball. Will the Legend become a mere man in de eyes of many? The expectation is high!

he needs a striker who can cover on the left wing too my dream starting line up would be
                                              szcz
                sagna            kos       verm            santos
                                         song/frimpong
                 ox                           arteta/wilsher           gervinio/pedolski

                                                rvp
                                                  theo walcot

i went with ox on the wing because he has the wow factor for me and theo wants the strikers role so give it to him and long term all i can see is rvp`s brain and theos pace too much for most pl teams to handle with ox on the right and gervinio/podolski on the left with arteta/wilsher to provide for the hungry strikers. this line up will create and score many goals but that means song can not come up as much as he does now which gives our fullbacks more freedom to do damage up front. ox is the spark of arsenal future football for me he has that special something in his game that players like goetze( sorry cant spell his name) or hazard have now after playing first team football for a few years, ox will get there in 3 months if he gets the games (who said we need a creative mid?) ox learnt his trade through the middle so wing or middle il leave that for my fellow gunners to decide, let me know if this line up hits it for you or not guys……. rvp hatrick? that would be sweet as he will be on a all time high and he will keep the goals coming all season. thanks for reading guys and please do comment

Ridiculous signing and I agree with the ‘Sun’ if he performs well people will question why he was sold, if he underperforms it is another Sol Campbell return along with last years Lehmann, and similar to the last minute panic buys in August..why does the man keep being a skin flint, he is still doing it with champ league football looking a slight risk next season..unbelieveable !

Firstly who says Sols return was unsuccessful, his role included sharing his vast experience, and something that TH14 can also provide.

There are two ways of looking at it, if we (Gooners that is,not the dickheads aka The Sun et al) expect him to turn the clock back 5 years then we’ll be disappointed, if however we (Gooners) accept this as it is, a stop gap measure and maybe an insight to a return in a non playing capacity with the added benefit of his presence pre match then bring it on.

For all you know mate the wheels are in motion on a long term deal for such a name as Podolski? Who knows, certainly not the Sun, he’s not a skinflint but cautious cos spending daft money offers no guarantess, Torres, Carroll anyone?

not arguing with any of that Berg10, I assume by the above comment you were not an Arsenal fan who reminded everyone of how Wenger always gets rid at the right time and you couldn’t possibly have used Henry as an example when he was awful for Barca..good just checking on that one because plenty did mate !

Ps..Podolski would be a good signing, but I said that about Gervinho and Mertesacker too so im not really getting involved in debating that just yet as both of them have plenty to prove, unlike Santos who did at least look a bit more settled.
