Gooners didn’t get much of a chance to see Jack Wilshere enjoying a massage when Arsenal’s very own chief Tweeter Emmanuel Frimpong posted this fetching snap on his Twitter account.
For some reason Frimpers took the image down almost immediately but as you can see from Jack’s pose and thumbs-up gesture he was happy for it to be taken. We can only wonder why he deleted it.
No matter, it just whets fans’ appetites that the young midfielder, who has been out all season with an ankle injury, is poised to make a return to the first team. Having Jack back will be like signing a new player and should give us a bit of a boost as the season edges close to the end with the race for third spot in table hotting up.
Reports this morning say he could be back in action within a fortnight and that AW is expected to arrange a private practice match to test the midfielder’s fitness.
And if the massages help, Jack, keep having them…
