We must buy now in the Jan transfer window... But what do we need? a striker, goalkeeper or both?

The most obvious would be Marouane Chamakh. He is slightly smaller in height then NB but has plenty of strength from what I have seen from highlights from France. He looks a very decent player and has quite a bit of experience being 25.

I personally however would love to see Edin Džeko in our squad, as we need that typical big, powerful, speedy striker. It’s obvious he has the perfect physique for the Premier League. Manchester United couldn’t handle him at OT in the Champs League the other week. Wolfsburg would not let him go for the cheap though and with AC Milan in particular interested, AW would have to open up his kitty... And we all know how rare that is!

I just don’t see Vela, NB or even Eduardo being capable of scoring 20+ a season.

Sadly, AW has said you doesn't want to buy anyone Cup tied. That would eliminate a couple of nice targets.

I think the game at the weekend showed that we could use cover at GK if we aren't going to give Fabianski a shot at playing. Almunia has got me nervous every time a cross comes into the box. We all know that the squad isn't tall blah blah blah but if we are content to play with a GK that's prone to making mistakes, why not play with Fabianski? At least he's hungry enough to want the shirt.
