Rosicknote Signs New Contract

rosicky12Czech Republic international midfielder Tomas Rosicky has today signed a new contract with Arsenal Football Club. Twenty-nine year-old Rosicky joined Arsenal in May 2006 from Borussia Dortmund and has made 76 appearances for the Gunners, scoring 14 goals. Having missed a proportion of the last two seasons due to injury, Tomas has made significant contributions this season when appearing, helping the team fight for domestic and European honours with his trademar…

Ftk Blog:Why selling Fabregas would be a betrayal

fabregas03092008After twenty eight glorious minutes against Aston Villa, Cesc Fabregas showed why he is Arsenal’s best player, and above all convinced me that he must not be sold in the summer. Since the young Catalan came to our club, I was so impressed with his maturity and ability to read the game, that I became an instant fan. I recall getting my shirt number sorted, and it was then that not even the staff in the Arsenal printing shop were certain about how to spell his name. h…

FTK Thought for the day: We have truth and perfection so enjoy it!

phil_brown_794982cOk the knives are out for another Arsenal player, with the Hull v Arsenal emotions seemingly becoming like our hatred of Ashley Cole, Adebayor and Phil Brown. Yet you have to wonder why oh why the media, (and you know who you are), go again out of their way to wind up gooners by trying to get their players banned for incidents that would not get the time of day if it was a Man utd player called Rooney or the England Captain called Terry. So Eldo has pointed out…

FTK Comment: If Arsenal can’t win the title from here we don’t deserve to!

crest1OK, I am near to recovery apart from a wound infection which set me back, so I blame my rant on the medication I am currently taking. My opinion is of today with the weekend’s results. From what I have seen of the Premiership thus far, If Arsenal following sensible buys in the January transfer window, cannot win the Premiership title from here, then we don’t deserve to…  Why do I say this?  Man U lost to Fulham… now lie second in the table on 37 points with 18 pl…

FTK thought for the weekend:Gooners expect, but will we deliver?

fabregasjpgThe wonderful thing our Premiership League is that no-one can really be certain of victory until the final whistle blows. This weekend has so far thrown up some wonderful results in Arsenal's favour, and now we have to respond. Chelsea drew 3-3 against Everton thus reducing the gap between us by 2 points. The amazing loss at Old Trafford by the arrogant Mancs must also send a message out to the teams in and around the top four, they can be beaten even with the help …

FTK thought for the day: No Bendtner? So every Cloud has a silver lining then…

nicklas_bendtnerThe news that Danish striker Niklas Bendtner will not be back until sometime in the new year has compounded still further the injury woes of Arsenal. Far from being a catastrophe I am of the view that this is a blessing in disguise. I am not a great fan of the Dane, as I feel that he will never become the world class striker Arsene Wenger believes he will mature into. Harsh maybe, but I do not want Arsene Wenger to have another excuse not to buy a striker in th…

FTK thought for the day: A faint heart never won a fair lady

aaron-ramseyHow many more exhibitions of Wengerball must we see that fill us with pride about the quality of our youth set up. The display by Aaron Ramsey was shaky at first, and Carlos Vela showed his nerves as he missed chances that he would usually take in his sleep. Jack Wilshere was busy yet given the crushing tackles he had to endure, he was unable to give the master class that we know he is capable of doing. From Song to Merida, and Gilbert to Walcott, this young Arsenal…

FTK: Thought for the day – why send Wilshere out on loan? We need him too!

We are sending our kids out to play in the Champions league and yet one Jack Wilshere appears not to be good enough for a first team berth in the Premier league. If he were an Everton or West Ham player, he would be playing first team football, but apparently he is not yet good enough for the Arsenal first team. At least Jack will have the chance to prove that he is good enough tonight, I am really looking forward to this.OK, going out on loan has it’s benefits, loo…
