UEFA Conference League club cheers for Arsenal on Twitter; dreams of beating Tottenham

Arsenal finished the Premier League season in eighth place, which means that the Gunners will not play a part in any of the three European competitions next season.

Tottenham, on the other hand, will be forced to play in the UEFA Conference League, and as much as we hate to say it, they will be among the favourites to go all the way in the newly-formed competition.

That, however, doesn’t mean much. We’ve all seen Tottenham make a real mess of things against clubs where a win is almost a given for them – the 3-0 capitulation against Dinamo Zagreb in the Europa League last season is the perfect example.

My Revenge On Ben Foster

We simply cannot put it past them to get humiliated against a lower-ranked team for the second season in a row. Arsenal Insider predicted the one club who would hand Spurs their exit ticket in the Conference League next term, and there’s no reason why it won’t come true.

Mons Calpe are currently fourth in the Gibraltar National League playoffs. They have booked their place in next season’s Conference League, and if things go their way, they will pull off an upset or two.

The Calpeans saw our Tweet yesterday and admitted that they are also dreaming of beating Tottenham next season.

They cheered for Arsenal as well, and it is safe to say, us Gooners now know which club to support in the Conference League in a few months time.

Va Mons!
