Arsenal favourites Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny cast Scotland aside in their latest Euro 2016 warm up with a solid 3-0 victory.
Giroud back-heeled a low cross to score his first at the eight minute mark, his 15th goal for his country, before doubling his tally 10 mintues before half-time. Four minutes later Koscielny made it 3-0 to the hosts.
Giroud, who is expected to start the tournament as France’s main striker commented on his recent goals, he said:
“…what was important was that we won, and that I continue that personal run of scoring.”
While the French fans may not be totally happy with some recent events, France do have the hosts’ advantage and are undoubtedly one of the most talented teams participating in the Euros with players like Paul Pogba, Blaise Matuidi, Dmitri Payet and N’Golo N’Kante they have both strength and depth.  They will feel reassured that other players who have struggled at times domestically like Giroud and Koscielny are finding form at just the right time. If the French do have a surprise, a trump card, it will be the Arsenal duo, Giroud and Koscielny.
Defensively the French have substantial experience in the forms of Patrice Evra and former Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna who will control the centre of defence – the only slight concern for Didier Deschamps would be a slight lack of pace.
All said and done France will be feeling confident of getting off to a great start on Friday where they face Romania in the Euro 2016 opener and France v Romania betting tips at thatsagoal indicate it will be a tough game for the French as the Romanians are not to be taken lightly in this tournament, they also enter the game in high spirit like their opponent as they thrashed Georgia 5-1 last Saturday in their last friendly game in Bucharest.
