Wenger: Walcott, Podolski and Oxo back soon for Arsenal

Arsene Wenger reckons injured trio Theo Walcott, Lukas Podolski and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are on the brink of first-team comebacks.
The Gunners manager says he hopes the stars will be back in contention for action soon.
And the Frenchman will shuffle his pack for Arsenal’s Premier League clash with Norwich at the Emirates on Saturday.
Wenger takes his side into the game acutely aware that his squad will be fully tested over the next few weeks with crucial fixtures coming thick and fast.
Wenger must run the rule over players coming back from international duty and he has revealed he studies the game time of his returning stars.
“We start to look at it the minutes each player has played and you get their feeling as well.
“You add that to the number of minutes they have played since the start of the season, then you make your decisions.
“Overall we do not come off the international break too bad because Koscielny didn’t play the first game at all, Giroud played only one half and 80 minutes in the second.
“The only one who played again over the two games is Aaron Ramsey, and apart from that Mertesacker played only one, Ozil played nearly two full games.
“You look at it the numbers because we play so many games now. That’s why it’s important to have players like Cazorla, like Rosicky and hopefully Walcott, Podolski and Chamberlain back soon.”
