Arsenal 'set for summer tour of Nigeria'

Arsene Wenger is considering taking Arsenal on a tour Nigeria next summer, it has been claimed this morning. Nigerian TV pundit Colin Udoh has used his Twitter account to break the enws that an Arsenal delegation will meet senior figure from the Nigerian Football Federation to discuss the possibility of the Gunners making the trip to Africa at the end of the season.
He said: “Getting word that Arsenal will tour Nigeria next summer. NFF General Secretary Musa Amadu told me they are meeting with the Arsenal delegation this afternoon in Abuja.”
We have speculated that Wenger’s men would tour either Japan or USA but Udoh’s tweets would indicate they may well be heading to the football-daft nation. I’ll do some digging and try to get more info – watch this space.
Udoj has since added: “Delegation in Nigeria is Angus Kaneer (Managing Dir), Mark Ellis (Club Secretary), Paul Johnson (Chief of Security).
“An Arsenal spokesperson at Communications Dept told me ‘there is the possibility’ of a Nigeria tour.”
