Arsene’s Press Conference and Summer Transfer News

Afternoon Bulletin

Jenkinson Brighton bound

It seems Brighton want to buy Carl Jenkinson in the summer and Arsenal are willing to sell the Gunners supporting full back. The 25-year-old has barely played this season and would benefit from a move to another club.

Turan green light

Arsenal have been given the green light to sign Arda Turan from Barcelona for a fee for around £25m. The 30-year-old has struggled for a regular start this season and with Barcelona’s sketchy form, a major shake-up at the Spanish club will take place in the summer.

Perisic competition

The Sun is reporting that Inter Milan attacker Ivan Perisic is wanted by Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea. Arsenal view Perisic as a potential replacement for Alexis Sanchez in the summer.

Kolasinac confusion

Manager Arsene Wenger chose not to talk about transfers ahead of the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City at the weekend, while the Mirror claim Wenger believes he has won the race to sign the 23-year-old Bosnian. But depending on which report you read, some have even claimed he has completed a medical and agreed terms.

Perez set to leave

That is if Arsene Wenger stays on as manager, with Deportivo La Coruna looking his most likely destination in the summer. The 28-year-old believes if Wenger does stay on as manager, his playing time will continue to be limited and sees a move back to his old club as the best way forward.

Wenger mistake?

Well according to reports Arsene Wenger could have signed both Thomas Lemar and N’Golo Kante when they were both playing for Caen back in 2015. A deal of £12.6m would have brought both players to the club but, Wenger decided against the double deal.

Wenger press conference

A brief run down of the Arsene Wenger press conference. Basically, still no news on his staying or going saga in the summer and claimed he has not told the players either. Wenger did not want to talk about any potential transfers, he did mention Jack Wilshere, claiming he had not been in contact yet, but the player would return to the club at some point to start his rehabilitation. In regards to the new formation, Wenger said the three at the back is an option for the match against Manchester City. It was certainly a cagey press conference with very little given away.
