Bernd Leno has been hailed as ‘one of the best’ goalkeepers in the Premier League almost one year after Arsenal sold the German international to Fulham.
According to the Cottagers manager Marco Silva via BBC Sport, the former Emirates Stadium star has proven his worth with Fulham this season, with the 31-year-old putting on yet another incredible display for Fulham over the weekend in a 2-1 loss to Manchester City.
With Aaron Ramsdale establishing himself as Arsenal’s no. 1 last season and the arrival of Matt Turner, Leno took his talents to west London where the former Bayer Leverkusen keeper has been one of Fulham’s best players this season.

Why Pele Is Overrated.
Indeed, whilst Ramsdale has been impressive for Arsenal this campaign, Leno’s performances for Fulham have arguably been more incredible, and Silva has now talked up the German international as one of the best keepers in the Premier League.
Silva said on Leno: “I know he is my player and we keep trying to protect him, but he is one of the best two keepers in this division in my opinion. [He is] definitely showing his quality every single game. Some games where he has more work to do and others where there are more dangerous moments around our box he is always there.”
Leno has always been one of the best keepers in the Premier League

It might seem like an easy to forget, but Leno has, ever since he joined Arsenal in 2018, always been one of the top performers in the Premier League, with Gooners often joking that the club would be in League Two had it not been for some of the German’s performances over the years.
Whilst Mikel Arteta was proven right in his decision to replace Leno with Ramsdale, it’s no real shock to see the shot-stopper now thriving in the Premier League with Fulham, with the 31-year-old playing some of the best football yet in his career in what has been a year to remember.
