Kolo Toure has said Bukayo Saka could have played for the Invincibles having established himself as one of Arsenal’s best players this season.

Speaking to the Independent, the 2003/04 Premier League winner named the 21-year-old as a member of the current Arsenal squad who could have starred for Arsene Wenger’s historic Invincibles side.

Saka this season has been one of the outstanding names in the Premier League this campaign, with the England international hitting double digits for both goals and assists in what has been the winger’s best year yet for Arsenal.

Why Pele Is Overrated.

And to the surprise of nobody, Toure has named the forward as a player who could have thrived with the Invincibles, with the former centre-back saying: “This boy has a special talent. He has passion, he has desire. He has technique, he has everything.

“I have been very impressed with what he is doing and for me, as a football man who has been in the game for a long time, watching the game, if the game is easy, it is quite boring.

“But when I watch a game and it is tight and I see one player willing to take the ball under pressure and make the difference, that is what we love.”

Saka has been nothing short of a revelation for Arsenal, with the winger one of the key reasons the Gunners are currently enjoying their best season since their historic Invincibles run almost 20 years, and the forward would have thrived alongside Toure and company.

The 21-year-old has all the tools needed to become one of the best players in the world, with Saka already comfortably in the conversation for the best winger currently playing in Europe. And the youngster would have slotted in nicely for Arsene Wenger in Arsenal’s most iconic team.
