Arsene Wenger says he will take into account the fans views on if he stays or go. Wenger said, “it will not be the most important factor but you consider it, of course!” Wenger went on to say, “I worked very hard for 20 years to make our fans happy and when you lose I understand they are not.”
Sir Chips Keswick released a statement explaining how the board are fully aware of the attention currently focused on the club and that they respect the fans opinions. He added that the long term interests of the club are important and Wenger has a contract that runs to the summer. It seems any decision will be made mutually between Wenger and the board. Which at the moment looks like Wenger will be staying.
Wenger wants the Ox
Arsene Wenger denied he had seen the reports that midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was unhappy at the club and wanted to leave in the summer. Wenger said he was surprised, as he feels Oxlade-Chamberlain is developing well and has been given a chance. Wenger added that he wishes Oxlade-Chamberlain stays at the club.
Wenger turn around
After Wenger denied anything had happened in training involving Alexis Sanchez and other players, only for Theo Walcott to confirm something did happen, Wenger had to change his view once more. Wenger said, “we have a good united group, determined group and when you have disappointing results you always have disagreements.” Maybe Wenger just didn’t see it happen at training?
Depending on which reports you read, it now turns out Mesut Ozil actually turned down £280,000 a week contract. Whatever the figures are, it does not look good for Arsenal fans hoping the German will stay.
According to the Daily Mail, three players want to leave in the summer. They are Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Lucas Perez and David Ospina. There seems to be a mass exodus of players who are unhappy and want to leave.
Still no news if the sickness bug has swept any further, after Mesut Ozil, Alex Iwobi and Danny Welbeck were all struck down with the illness. Arsene Wenger was not sure if any more players had fallen foul of the bug but has left it in the hands of the club doctor.
Lincoln to win?
According to Lincoln City defender Luke Waterfall, who feels some Arsenal fans could turn up wanting Lincoln to win. As if Mourinho’s mind games are not enough, now we have non-League Lincoln chipping in. Arsenal play Lincoln on Saturday in the FA Cup Quarter Final.
