The Loan Report: Safety for Bielik, relegation for Chambers

Wojciech Szczesny – Roma

Szczesny helped Roma to a 4-1 victory over AC Milan on Sunday. The keeper made one save in the game but couldn’t keep out Mario Pasalic’s effort failing to take his clean sheet tally to 15 for the season. Better luck next week Woj.

Daniel Crowley – Go Ahead Eagles

Crowley was yet again Go Ahead Eagles best performer on Sunday but his side fell victim to a 4-0 thrashing from Ajax. The 19-year-old recorded a 91% pass accuracy from 37 passes as well as making team-high 59 touches as well as making 3 tackles in the middle of the park.

Krystian Bielik – Birmingham City

Bielik made a 21-minute cameo appearance which helped ensure safety for Birmingham City in their Championship finale win against Bristol City. Bielik made 2 tackles, won 2 aerial duels and completed 100% of his passes in this performance.

Marc Bola – Notts County

Bola came on as a 58th-minute substitute in Notts County’s final day clash with Newport County who escaped relegation by beating Bola’s side 2-1.

My Revenge On Ben Foster

Calum Chambers – Middlesbrough

Chambers couldn’t stop the inevitable as Middlesbrough’s relegation was confirmed by a 3-0 loss to Chelsea on Monday night.

Ismael Bennacer – Tours

Bennacer featured for 79 minutes in Tours’ 3-1 win away to Laval and managed to get an assist but wasn’t able to grab himself a second goal in senior football. Having not lost in 6 games Tours are now up to 14th place in Ligue 2 with two games of the season to play.

Joel Campbell – Sporting Lisbon

Campbell came on as a 68th-minute substitution in Sporting’s 3-1 loss against Belenenses but failed to make an impact after coming on.

Julio Pleguezuelo – Mallorca

Pleguezuelo helped see out Elche in Mallorca’s 1-0 win on Saturday but did have to go for about 20 minutes with a yellow card.
