Jack Wilshere – Bournemouth
Wilshire left the game away to Tottenham Hotspur on crutches after limping off in the 56th minute of the 4-0 defeat. Although the extent of the injury is, at the moment, unknown, he is wearing a protective boot. During the game he found his creativity mostly restricted. A number of times he had the ball but the forward options were limited.
Wojciech Szczesny – Roma
Although he conceded once during the 1-1 draw with Atalanta, in truth Szczesny had little to do in the game. There was not much he could do to stop the away side from taking the lead in the 22nd minute, but that was their only shot on target. Again his distribution figures were good, something which has improved during his time in Italy.
Daniel Crowley – Go Ahead Eagles
The midfielder played well and created opportunities for his side but they ultimately lost 2-0 to Willem II and remain bottom of the league. During his 90 minute spell for the Dutch side, Crowley completed more passes than any of his teammates and had 2 key passes. He has had 13 starts so far this season and has been impressive throughout his time.
Krystian Bielik – Birmingham
Bielik played both games for Birmingham over the course of this bumper weekend for the football league. His side are on a very poor run of form at the moment and so to stand out as a defender is difficult. It was one point from a possible six this weekend as Birmingham drew 1-1 at home to Rotherham before losing 2-0 to Burton.
Takuma Asano – VfB Stuttgart
The forward played the full 90 minutes of the 3-2 away win over Armina Bielefeld. Although his side scored three times he was not directly involved in any goals, but he did have 2 shots during the game and completed almost 85% of passes.
Jon Toral – Rangers
Toral played 84 minutes of the 2-1 win over Partick Thistle, scoring his second goal of the season. It was a close range effort which was finished well following a good attacking run into the area.
Gedion Zelalem – VVV-Venlo
Zelalem made a 20-minute substitute appearance in the 2-1 win at RKC Waalwijk but will be hoping for more minutes as the season comes to an end.
Marc Bola – Notts County
Bola played one of two games for his side this weekend, completing the full 90 minutes of the 3- home defeat to Portsmouth. Having recently returned from injury it was perhaps too soon to play both games and he was an unused substitute in the 2-2 draw away at Crewe.
Calum Chambers (Middlesbrough) could not feature against Arsenal but is still injured.
