Arsenal’s star signing Mesut Ozil got to meet some of his new Gunners team-mates today.
It was thumbs up all round as the former Real Madrid playmaker flew into London and joined up with Arsene Wenger’s squad at their north London training HQ.
This snap shows Germany ace Ozil posing with injured Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and his international team-made also posted a picture on Twitter of the pair together.
The images surfaced as former Germany midfielder Michael Ballack praised his compatriot and insisted the club record £42.5million deal was right for both the player and the Emirates outfit.
He said: “Mesut is a young player and at his peak. He is an outstanding player, who joined a new club, I don’t think it’s a problem being nervous about playing in England.
“Arsenal is a great club and paid a lot of money for him. That proves his exceptional standing on international level, this amount is not common.
“I really hope everything works well for him, he will be an addition to the league especially with his technical skills and pace with the ball.”
