Mkhitaryan happy to be a Gooner
We knew for quite some time that this deal was likely to go through. Alexis Sanchez going one way and Henrikh Mkhitaryan going another.
The deal was finally completed on the 22nd of January where both clubs announced their new signings almost at the exact same time.
Here is what the Armenian had to say in his first ever Arsenal interview:
“I am very happy that we could finish this deal and I’m very happy to be here. It’s a dream come true because I’ve always dreamed of playing for Arsenal. Now that I’m here, i’ll do my best for this club to create history.”
“I always loved the way that Arsenal played and the way Arsene Wenger has managed the team. There have been a lot of young players, he’s managed them and they’ve done very very well. Of course I was in love with the game of Thierry Henry. I loved the way he played- and maybe that was the main reason to support Arsenal Football Club.”
“I cannot wait to start playing with my new teammates and overall I am happy to be a Gunner!”

Aubameyang pictured packing his bags
Recent reports suggest Arsenal aren’t quite finished in the Transfer window yet!
The Gunners are very close to completing the signing of Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Arsene Wenger admitted on Tuesday that the deal for the striker is ‘possible’ but he was not keen about Olivier Giroud potentially going the other way.
The 28-year old’s move to the Emirates appears to be close but he has hinted he could be on his way VERY shortly after he was pictured packing his bags and loading his customised Porsche with them after training.

Arsenal players snub Alexis after his move to Manchester United
Skhodran Mustafi has become the first and ONLY Arsenal player to wish Alexis Sanchez good luck with his move to Manchester United.
The Chilean signed for the Red Devils on Monday evening in a swap deal for winger Henrikh Mkhitaryan who I mentioned quite a lot before.
Reports have suggested that some Arsenal players did not get along with the 29-year old ad all and were happy to ‘finally see him go’.
Even his partner in crime Mesut Ozil is yet to give Sanchez a send of despite posting on Instagram a picture of him in his house with the caption: “Love London”.
This is very strange to some fans because when Theo Walcott and Francis Coquelin departed with the club, a variety of players took to social media to thank them for their time and service at the club.
