Perez and Campbell go out on loan while Bola awaits chance

The Loan Report

Emiliano Martinez

Martinez was afforded a well-deserved rest from Getafe this weekend due to the international matches. The Argentinian has yet to feature for the Spanish La Liga side. Getafe face Leganes on Friday with Martinez hoping to make his first start.

Marc Bola

Marc Bola was again an unused substitute as his Bristol Rovers team lost 3-1 to Bradford City. Bola has yet to start in the league for Bristol Rovers but will be hoping to start against Walsall.

Takuma Asano

Asano was on international duty with Japan and scored in the 41st minute as they secured a good 2-0 win against Australia in the World Cup qualifiers. Asano’s loan team Stuttgart played a friendly due to the international weekend. Stuttgart take on Schalke on Sunday.

Lucas Perez

Perez has signed for Deportivo on loan with a view to a permanent move. The 28-year-old will be keen to get back in the starting eleven after a frustrating season with Arsenal last year. Perez rejoins the Spanish side after signing for Arsenal from Deportivo in 2016. Perez should start at the weekend when Deportivo play Real Sociedad.

Joel Campbell

Campbell is another loan mover joining Real Betis who he has played for back in 2012/13, also on loan. Campbell has been frustrated at his lack of chances at the Emirates and although he would have preferred a permanent move he is excited to be back at Betis. The Costa Rican has been at Arsenal since 2011 but only played 23 matches scoring 3 goals. This is the sixth time the 25-year-old has been sent out on loan since arriving at the Emirates. Campbell may start this weekend against Villareal.

Kelechi Nwakali

Nwakali has joined VVV Venlo in the Dutch Eredivisie. The 19-year-old Nigerian midfielder has failed to secure a work permit at Arsenal so faces a season out on loan. He joined Arsenal in 2016 and last year spent a season loan with Dutch side MVV Maastricht where he played 29 times and scored twice.

Stephy Mavididi

Mavididi loan side Preston North End had the weekend off due to the international weekend. Preston face Barnsley at the weekend.

Cohen Bramall & Carl Jenkinson

Birmingham City had no match at the weekend due to the international matches taking place.

Jenkinson is still recovering having dislocated his shoulder on his debut for Birmingham. Bramall will be hoping to start away to Norwich on Saturday.
