According to reports, Arsenal have improved their contract offer to forward Alexis Sanchez and have offered £270,000 a week.
With rumours that his agent had been in touch with Bayern Munich only to be told Bayern could not afford his wages has jumped Arsenal into action.
The club are hoping the improved offer will be enough to tempt Sanchez into signing a new deal.
Early team news
Petr Cech will be given the nod in goal for the FA Cup final against Chelsea on Saturday. In the past, the number two keeper has always been given the chance to play Cup games but with Cech having played in the semi-final against Manchester City he looks favourite to start the final.
A late decision will be made on Shkodran Mustafi after suffering from concussion against Sunderland.
Kieran Gibbs looks set to recover from his thigh injury and may line up at left wing back with Nacho Monreal lining alongside Per Mertesacker and Rob Holding in a back three with either Hector Bellerin or Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on the right side.
Alexis Sanchez is fit and raring to go and will start.
Arsenal are planning on bringing Thorgan Hazard to the club although Chelsea may have the first refusal on the midfield star. The 24 year old Belgium international has had a good season with Borussia Monchengladbach scoring 11 goals and seven assists in 33 appearances in the Bundesliga. Hazard, younger brother of Chelsea star Eden would be available for around £18m.
Ozil to Besiktas
In funny news, some reports are claiming midfielder Mesut Ozil has held secret talks over a move to Turkish club Besiktas.
Ozil has apparently told the Turkish side he will sign for the right price and Besiktas feel they can offer the German £350,000 a week to tempt him to join.
Tolisso deal unlikely
Lyon midfielder Corentin Tolisso is still interested in a move away from French side Lyon but his new price tag of £52m has so far put off Juventus. However, Tolisso has said he wants to be playing in the Champions League which would put Arsenal out of the running too.
Danilo still of interest
Real Madrid right back Danilo is still interesting the Gunners, although whether they can tempt the Brazilian remains to be seen. Arsenal may be in the market for a right back with Hector Bellerin possible move to Barcelona.
Danilo has played backup this season to Dani Carvajal for the majority of the season.
Danny Welbeck has admitted he continues to suffer after his knee surgery but feels Arsenal fans will see the best of him next season. The 26-year-old was signed in 2014 and has only started 33 matches.
Manager Arsene Wenger has been slowly introducing Welbeck to the team after he has been sidelined for 20 months after undergoing two knee operations, on both legs.
Wenger has admitted that Welbeck can only play once a week and is unable to train every day currently.
