Sanchez stays, Lemar bid fails and Ramsey posts Shambles

Ox to Liverpool

Alex Oxlade Chamberlain has left the club on transfer deadline day and joined rivals Liverpool. The midfielder took a pay cut to join the Merseyside club after being offered £180k a week by Arsenal. The midfielder felt he needed a change of club to enhance his career.

Aaron Ramsey almost caused controversy when he used #shaambles on social media in response to Arsenal selling Alex Oxlade Chamberlain. Ramsey was quick to delete the post and try to explain that ‘Shambles’ is a nickname given to Oxlade Chamberlain by Per Mertersaker. No Aaron we don’t buy that excuse either, but we all do agree with your original post.

Sancho to Germany

Manchester City forward Jadon Sancho who looked set to sign for Arsenal has joined Borussia Dortmund. The young forward was linked with Arsenal throughout the summer but decided to sign for the German Bundesliga side instead. Another player we are linked to who fails to arrive.

Did we or didn’t we

So according to reports, the club put in a bid of £92m for Thomas Lemar only to then say the deal is dead. Why? Well no one knows for sure, Which is true Arsenal style. The question is why didn’t we bid this amount weeks ago when there was no rush and plenty of time to get the deal complete. Monaco actually agreed to the fee, so what went wrong. The reports say that Lemar was not sure on the move and needed more time to make a decision, but surely if Arsenal had been bidding for the player previously then Lemar must of thought about the move then. Something is not quite right.

Sanchez to stay

Is this a good move or a bad move by the club. Yes he is a quality player but it’s obvious he wants to leave. The club apparently turned down a £60m bid from Manchester City on transfer deadline day as they were unable to buy a suitable replacement, which looked like being Lemar. You have to question what type of Sanchez we will now see at the club.
Chambers bid rejected
Leicester City had a £20m bid turned down by Arsenal for Calum Chambers. The English defender did seem likely to leave in the summer but with Gabriel having left the club, Chambers now looks set to stay.

Loans out

As expected Lucas Perez has moved to Deportivo on loan for the season, although it is unknown if they have an option to buy at the end of the season.
Joel Campbell has moved to Real Betis on loan. The winger has been out of favour at Arsenal and has not looked to be anywhere near the first team. The Costa Rican played for Betis back in 2012/13 season on loan and has expressed his delight and being back at the club.
Kelechi Nwakali has joined VVV Venlo on loan. The 19 year old is looking to gain some first team experience, who is yet to make his debut for Arsenal.

Malen to PSV

Donyell Malen has joined PSV Eindhoven in a permanent deal. The youngster had scored 27 goals in 67 appearances for the Arsenal Academy. It does beg the question why are we selling players from the academy?

Kos injured

Arsenal have been dealt a major blow as defender Laurent Koscielny has suffered a serious injury whilst playing for France against Holland. It’s not yet known how long the Frenchman will  remain on the sidelines, but the injury to his ankle looked serious.
