Arsene Wenger has hinted that Jack Wilshere may yet play a part in our season after positive news emerged regarding his injury.
Wilshere has been sidelined for the season after picking up a serious ankle injury pre-season and the Gunners have missed his invaluable midfield contribution.
Wenger has revealed Wilshere, 20, has returned to light training work but insists the England star will not be rushed ensuring his comeback is overseen properly and lessen the chance of suffering a setback.
AW says the latest scan was positive and Wilshere is ready to start jogging again, and while he hopes to have Jack back before the end of the season, the boss stressed we have to be very cautious with him.
AW said: “We have good news but Jack isn’t close to a comeback. The last scan was good and he can start to jog again so he is on the way back – but we have to be very cautious with him, I hope to have him back before the end of the season, but we go step by step.”
