Arsenal are interested in signing Jose Gaya from Valencia. The left back is highly rated in Europe and is ideal at playing wing back, should the club continue with their new formation. The 21-year-old is however still under contract until 2020.
Arsenal have earmarked Lille right-back Sebastien Corchia as a potential replacement for Hector Bellerin. The 26-year-old has only one year left on his contract which could mean the club may be able to sign the Frenchman for a reduced price. With Carl Jenkinson and Mathieu Debuchy also set to leave in the summer, Arsenal need to ensure they bring in a right back or two in the close season.
Lacazette favours Spain
Alexandra Lacazette looks set to push for a move to Spanish side Atletico Madrid, instead of a move to Arsenal. The Frenchman has been in fantastic form this season but as previously reported, wants Champions League football. The 25-year-old would cost any club in the region of £50m having scored 107 goals over the last four years for Lyon. The only possible saving grace for Arsenal is the potential transfer ban before next season for Atletico, with a decision due in July 1st.
Sessegnon set to reject
According to his Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic, Ryan Sessegnon is due to reject any advances from top Premier League clubs to remain at Fulham. Sessegnon has been in sensational form this season and has been linked with almost all the top clubs.
Belotti wants London move
According to reports, Andrea Belotti wants a move to London with Arsenal and Chelsea both interested in the Torino striker. The 23-year-old has scored 25 goals in 31 appearances so far this season in Serie A. Arsenal had a bid of £56m turned down by Torino in the summer, with the player’s release clause set at £100m. The price will certainly drop Arsenal out of the race for the talented striker.
Arsenal team news
Early team news for the match against Manchester United on Sunday with Granit Xhaka set to miss the match through injury to his ankle. The Swiss midfielder picked up the injury against Tottenham last weekend and has failed to recover.
Centre back Shkodran Mustafi is back in training although whether he will start remains doubtful.
David Ospina is now fully fit and may make the bench, although Lucas Perez will definitely miss out having picked up a knock in training which will put him out for a couple of days.
Rumours of Manchester United playing a weakened team seem nothing but mind games for United manager Jose Mourinho, even with their semi-final against Celta Vigo.
