Wilshere to stay, Mustafi exits as Arsenal await Europa draw

Afternoon Bulletin

Toral off to Hull

Jon Toral is on his way to Hull City in a deal worth £3m. The midfielder is deemed surplus to requirements and looks set to join his new team mates over the next couple of days. Toral was on loan last season at Glasgow Rangers in the Scottish Premier League.

The Ox due crunch talks

Alex Oxlade Chamberlain is to sit down with the club for contract talks in the next 24 hours as the midfielder looks to sign a new deal. There’s has been plenty of speculation over the last few weeks, but it looks like Oxlade Chamberlain is set to stay. Arsenal are offering Oxlade Chamberlain £100k a week to sign and fend off interest from both Liverpool and Chelsea. The English man’s contract runs out at the end of the season.

Lemar deal off

According to manager Arsene Wenger the Thomas Lemar deal is now off due to Monaco’s reluctance to sell the player after a mass exodus of stars having already left the club. The transfer of Lemar has rumbled on for majority of the summer with Arsenal failing to agree a fee for the talented attacking midfielder on three occasions.

Sanchez out, Benzema in…. again

According to Spanish outlets, Arsenal look set to bring in Karim Benzema should Alexis Sanchez decide to leave to club. With Sanchez looking more and more likely to leave, despite the club’s insistence he is staying, Arsenal are once again linked with the French forward. This is of course the media’s favourite rumour which rears its ugly head every summer.

Mustafi not bonding

Shkodran Mustafi is looking more likely to leave the club as he struggles to bond with his current Arsenal teammates. The German international is wanted by Juventus and Inter Milan, with Arsenal wanting to recoup the £35m they paid for the centre back.

Gibbs to Turkey

Kieran Gibbs is a potential target for Turkish side Galatasaray. The 27 year old has failed to break through and showed any type of consistency and has not featured this season so far, with Hector Bellerin preferred at left wing back despite being right footed. Gibbs could leave the club for around £3.7m.

Bennacer leaves

Ismael Bennacer has left the club and joined Italian side Empoli. Bennacer was praised by Wenger in January but has not done enough to convince Wenger he should be a first team starter. Bennacer was called up to the Algerian squad for the African nations last year at the last minute but failed to make an appearance in the tournament.

McGuane wanted

Arsenal talented player Marcus McGuane has attracted interest from teams all across Europe as another players contract has less than a year to run. The youngster is one of the bright prospects in the Arsenal Academy and the club are extremely reluctant to let him go.

Wilshere could stay

According to manager Arsene Wenger, Jack Wilshere could still stay at the club and sign a new contract. Wenger has said if Wilshere can get back to his best then he will be offered a new deal. A possible loan deal may still be the best bet for the midfielder.

Europe League draw

Excitement builds today for the Europe League draw as the club take their first steps into the prestigious competition. Arsenal will want to avoid Marseille and Hoffenheim in their group. The club are not favourites for the competition with AC Milan given that title after their summer spending spree. But I’m sure all Gooners will be sat around the TV watching with baited breath to see the outcome of our group. I can’t contain my excitement.
