Kolasinac finally signs
It’s been months of speculation but Bosnian left back Sead Kolasinac has signed on a free transfer from German side Schalke. The defender can play left back, centre back and even as a defensive midfielder.
Kolasinac had a good season in the Bundesliga last season and will offer competition to either Nacho Monreal or Kieron Gibbs with one of them set to leave this summer.
The left back has signed a five year contract and will start preseason training with the club in July.
Mbappe or Lacazette
Depending on which report you believe Arsenal are close to signing Kylian Mbappe with a world record offer of £122m and the promise of the number nine shirt. Yes it seems the number nine shirt will be enough to tip the scales in Arsenal’s direction.
Of course you may also have read the other report that the club have had the door opened to a possible move for Alexandre Lacazette who has now decided that he would move to a club not in the Champions League. Arsenal could offer £50m for the player and £250,000 a week wages.
Lacazette scored 37 goals for Lyon last season and would welcome a move after his transfer to Atletico Madrid fail through due to their transfer embargo.
Olivier Giroud has warned manager Arsene Wenger he will not tolerate being sat on the bench next season. The Frenchman is due to meet Wenger and discuss his future after only starting 11 Premier League games last season.
With Arsenal rumoured to be in the market for another striker, Giroud could be on his way this summer.
Real reason Wenger’s in Nice
It could be the real reason Arsene Wenger is in Nice is to secure the transfer of midfielder Jean Michael Seri. The Ivorian was excellent for Nice last season, scoring seven times and assisting nine in 36 appearances.
The 26 year old is also wanted by Roma and Barcelona and would cost in the region of £35m.
Sad, sad day
A sad day for Arsenal football club after the announcement that Yaya Sanogo is leaving the club in the summer. We all remember Sanogo for his great potential and his magical performance in the Emirates Cup. But one goal in an injury hit four years was unfortunate.
Thanks for the Emirates memory’s Yaya you will never be forgotten.
Just in case no one knew, Tony Adams has a book out. There you go Tony so much easier just telling people rather than slagging the club off.
