Arsenal academy defender Daniel Ballard has been doing incredibly well on loan at Blackpool this season.
The 21-year-old left the Emirates Stadium in October, linking up with the League One side until the end of the season.
To date, Ballard has made 19 appearances for Blackpool, including 17 in the league, and has scored twice.
His efforts have helped the Lancashire side to fifth in the table, keeping them firmly in contention for the playoffs.
Ballard, who was on Northern Ireland duty over the international break, was left on the bench for the Good Friday win at Swindon.
However, he returned to the starting XI for the meeting with Gillingham at Bloomfield Road, a game the hosts won 4-1.
“Stood up superbly to the aerial bombardment against the in-form Vadaine Oliver,” wrote the Blackpool Gazette, who gave him 8 out of 10. “Probably a bit of an eye-opener.”
Ballard has become a fan favourite at the club and plenty of fans would love to see him join permanently.
