5 tackles, 3 clearances, 10 duels won - reported Arsenal target shines in latest performance

Reported Arsenal target Yves Bissouma delivered an outstanding performance for Brighton in last night’s Premier League encounter with Everton.

According to a report from January, Arsenal made contact with the 24-year-old’s agent, Michael N’Cho, during the winter transfer window.

The report, citing a close friend of Bissouma’s, also claimed the player would choose Arsenal over any other Premier League club if they came in for him.

Bissouma joined Brighton from Lille in 2018 for a reported £15million fee, and has made 88 appearances for the Seagulls, including 31 this season.

On Monday night, the central midfielder delivered a performance so good, Gary Lineker described him as an “exceptional” footballer and Jamie Carragher said he “really does look like a top-quality player”.

He registered an 86.8 percent success rate from his 53 passes on the night, delivered three accurate long balls, made two key passes, three clearances, three shots and three dribbles, according to Whoscored.

And according to Squawka, the Mali international won more duels than anyone else (10), made the most successful tackles (five), and had the joint-highest amount of take-ons (three) over the course of the game.

Bissouma has certainly shown he’s a cut above at Brighton and surely it won’t be long before a leading club snaps him up – could Arsenal be that club?
