Arsenal will come up against Marseille, Dortmund and Napoli in what looks to be a potentially tricky Champions League draw.
The Gunners discovered who they will face in the group stages after the Champions League draw this afternoon. They were the first team taken out of the hat and then drew Group F.
Arsenal played Marseille in the competition in the 20011-12 season and won 1-0 in France before drawing 0-0 at the Emirates.
Wenger’s team played Dortmund in that campaign as well, winning 2-1 at home to seal qualification to the knockout stages after a 1-1 draw in Germany.
Jurgen Klopp’s side were beaten finalists last year when they lost to German counterparts Bayern Munich at Wembley.
Arsenal drew 2-2 with Napoli in the Emirates Cup in the summer.
Wenger steered his team through to the qualifying stages to make the competition proper for the 16th successive season after seeing off Turkish outfit Fenerbahce over two legs of their play-off tie.
Arsenal won 3-0 in Istanbul and then completed the job with a comfortable 2-0 win at the Emirates on Tuesday.
The first game of the competition takes place on September 17 or 18.
