With summer around the corner it’s perfect time to think about Arsenal’s transfer targets for the Summer season, with as little as three and a half months left until the transfer window is open, clubs are already delegating, and forming strategies for the summer. Although last summer he was offered a £25m deal last summer – But Djene instructed his current at the time club to reject any offers from other clubs as he wasn’t interested in a move from the Premier League at the time.
According to reports Arsenal are targeting a summer transfer for Gelson Martins. The forward is currently on loan at Monaco from Atletico Madrid but has caught the eye of Arsenal after making an amazing start to his time in France. A Portuguese outlet ‘A Bola” claim is watching Martins again after failing to a bid to sign the 23-year old on loan in January. Unfortunately Gunners will have to wait to see how Martins’ dispute with his former club Sporting Lisbon is resolved.
Atletico did offer Sporting Lisbon £13million in compensation for Martins, but the Portuguese club are claiming the Portugal international had an £86 million release clause.
