Southampton winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is undergoing a medical at Arsenal, Sky Sports sources understands.
The 17-year-old has been the subject of intense transfer speculation all summer with Arsenal and Manchester Unitedboth keen to secure his services.
Southampton have insisted that they wanted the young midfielder to stay put, but he now looks set to depart St Mary’s.
Neither club has yet confirmed the deal is in place, but it is expected that the transfer will cost Arsenal in excess of £10million.
Oxlade-Chamberlain enjoyed a full season with Southampton last term, scoring 10 goals in 34 games as the club sealed promotion to the Championship.
