Arsenal wonderkid Omari Hutchinson is on the verge of leaving the Gunners and is on his way to sign for Chelsea, claims transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

The 18-year-old is one of our most exciting young talents. He joined the club after impressing at under-nine level, and has since come through the ranks at Hale End.

Hutchinson is viewed by everyone as a phenomenal young talent who has the potential to become a superstar in the future. Sadly, he’s set to do that at a different club now.

Fabrizio Romano says Arsenal wonderkid Omari Hutchinson is going to sign for Chelsea

In what is an absolute shock to everybody this morning, rumours started circulating on Twitter claiming that Hutchinson has decided to leave Arsenal.

The 18-year-old was locked in talks with the Gunners over a new contract. Many expected a renewal to be a formality, but Romano has now revealed that the deal collapsed.

Hutchinson to Chelsea is now ‘done,’ claims Romano, and that is a humongous blow for us.

“Chelsea have signed another talent for the future. After Zak Sturge deal, Chelsea will soon announce Omari Hutchinson as new signing – he’s set to leave Arsenal. Talks collapsed with #AFC on new deal, Hutchinson will join Chelsea as @TheSecretScout_ reports. It’s done,” he tweeted just a few moments ago.

He’s more exciting than Saka

Bukayo Saka is undoubtedly the most talented player to come out of our academy in recent years. He’s arguably our best player in the first team now, and he cost us absolutely nothing.

Hutchinson has the potential to reach Saka’s level too. If people who have watched him are to be believed, the teenager is a much more exciting talent than the Arsenal number seven was at under-23 level.

In their 50 most exciting teenagers in the world list, FourFourTwo wrote: “Omari Hutchinson is more exciting than Bukayo Saka was in the under-23s at Arsenal. The teenager has a similarly wicked left foot and an ability to cut in from the left – but he’s flashier, enjoys a mazy run and plays like he’s on his lunchtime at school.”

It’s safe to say, Arsenal are losing an absolute gem, and this could come back to haunt us one day.
